There is an upswing in the end of life industry happening right now.
The state of Washington recently became the first state to legalize the composting of bodies, and more and more people are deciding to use their loved one’s ashes or hair to create a unique, individualized diamond to carry with them through life.
It’s a great alternative for an urn, which sits on a mantle or table for years and often gets tossed with the next generation.
Diamonds hold value and can be passed down. They also remind folks of the bright, beautiful people they love – rather than focusing on the way they were lost.
Here at Eterneva, we get to work with people memorializing their loved ones through a precious stone every day. In doing so, the team talks to hundreds of people a week, from those who lost a loved one just the day before to those who lost a loved one 20 years ago.
There is no expiration date to ashes, after all. Plus, it’s not just ashes that contain carbon. Your hair also has carbon, so even if you aren’t cremating, your loved one’s carbon can be turned into a diamond.
Of course, not everyone decides to have a diamond made.
- Some people need to talk more with their family members about moving forward.
- Some people need to save up money.
- Some people want to look around at other companies and figure out which will be right for them.
That makes sense. It’s a big decision to send your loved one’s ashes away (though it only needs to be a half cup) and it’s important to do the necessary research and get everyone on board.
But what makes working for this company so incredibly impactful is what happens when a diamond is brought home.
The joy you see in the smiles of our customers, the way they show off the diamond to friends and family, and the memories it brings up as the beams of light make prisms around the room; it represents the light and brilliance their loved one brought in to the world. Here is Denise's Eterneva review of the process below:
It’s a feeling that is worth sharing with the world and folks who are looking for ways to honor their loved one because:
- All of us are going to experience loss.
- All of us are going to have to find a way to grieve.
- All of us are going to have to find a way to keep a memory alive.
The folks and the conversations below do just that.
They are Eterneva reviews sent over email, text, video and left online from customers who have become family, and who give our lives meaning every single day.
The Eterneva Cremation Diamond Process
Before we dive into the Eterneva reviews, a little bit of background is needed. A big part of the ashes to diamond process at Eterneva is communication. And it’s a big reason why Eterneva was created.
In 2015, Adelle, one of our co-founders, lost her close friend and mentor Tracey to pancreatic cancer.
Tracey’s family gave Adelle some of her ashes, and Adelle immediately looked up cremation jewelry –– and was feeling pretty disappointed with the options. Nothing really spoke to her or made her feel like she’d be honoring her friend’s memory.
That’s when she ran across cremation diamonds and knew immediately that was the perfect option. So, she started researching the companies and reaching out to folks, but the process itself felt stale.
- Some sites were way too scientific.
- Others were way too sad.
- And no one was making her feel incredibly comfortable with the idea of sending them her friend’s ashes.
Tracey was a business mentor for Adelle, after all, and this process sparked an idea –– Eterneva. The goal for the new company was to build something more personal, to provide transparency and trust, to communicate throughout the process so that people felt they were on a journey with their loved one.
Science is a huge part of what makes a cremation diamond a … well … diamond.
But science isn’t often the reason people decide to turn their loved one’s ashes into a diamond.
It’s the bond and the friendship that was built, the memories they have, the way they want to honor a connection that was remarkable – that’s why folks look for cremation diamonds.
That said, the Eterneva reviews you will see below will often reference parts of our communication process, how we keep the family updated on what is happening and when, and the larger friendships we’re building with our customers.
All right, let’s check out the reviews.

“Eterneva created beautiful diamonds of my dad. I would highly recommend doing this it is such a beautiful reminder of someone you love and you will always have a piece of them. My dad meant the world to me and Eterneva gave me an opportunity to always have him by my side and I can't thank them enough. They are also so incredibly sweet and truly care about what they are doing and their customers.”
“Adelle and her team at Eterneva gave me great comfort knowing that Stephen’s ashes will be handled with love and care, as if it was her own family member.”
“It’s never easy losing a loved one and finding the perfect way to cherish them is very difficult. Adelle and her team at Eterneva gave me great comfort knowing that Stephen’s ashes will be handled with love and care, as if it was her own family member. I spent weeks researching different companies and Eterneva’s service was hands down the best! Adelle would keep me updated with the process and never forgetting that she is entrusted with a loved one. Thank you so much Adelle! We will never forget you.”
“I wanted a diamond that would be as beautiful as sparkling and she was and that's exactly what Adele and Eterneva gave us.”
“In May of 2017 I lost my amazing beautiful daughter Katie shortly after her 20th birthday. While planning her service I knew I wanted to create a diamond from her ashes. Everyone asks how I found out about it I can't even tell you how I knew they did this but I just did.
After looking at a few sites and doing research in the industry I found and chose Eterneva. My first and ONLY contact has been with Adele. I will be honest, it is a big leap of faith to entrust your most precious loved one to be shipped off for several months. Adele put my heart and mind to ease. Never for one second did I feel any pressure or that Eterneva wasn't an excellent company. It wasn't until months later I found out that with the immense personal care I was getting that I was working with one of the owners of the company!!
My beautiful sweet Katie turned into an amazing blue diamond (Katie's favorite color). I wanted a diamond that would be as beautiful as sparkling and she was and that's exactly what Adele and Eterneva gave us. Thank you so incredibly much! No words will ever be enough! If you're hesitating because it's pricey, it is. But do your research. Even my jeweler was highly impressed with the process and how unique it is!! You and your loved one deserves nothing less.”
“I can not say enough about the compassion, integrity and caring they showed me. This company is the real deal. They created a "real" diamond that my jeweler was very impressed with.”
“When you lose someone remarkable from your life, you will forever want to remember and cherish them in a special way. Eterneva helped me to create the trigger that elicits the incredible and amazing memories of the times and love that I shared with my husband John. He had the most amazing blue eyes and it was Eterneva that helped me create the beautiful diamond that is blue like those amazing eyes that I cherish. I had the diamond set in a ring that includes diamonds from our wedding rings. Every morning when I put it on, I start my day with those beautiful memories of our journey through life and love. This ring will be passed on to family for generations to come and trigger amazing memories for them as well.
Eterneva is made up of people who seek to change the way we feel about end of life plans. I did not want an urn on my shelf or a resting place to visit once in a while. With the help of Eterneva, I now have John with me every day. I am able to feel his love every time I look at it.
I had the opportunity to work with both Adele and Garrett (co-founders) throughout my journey with Eterneva. I can not say enough about the compassion, integrity and caring they showed me. This company is the real deal. They created a "real" diamond that my jeweler was very impressed with. I had my diamond appraised and the jeweler was amazed with what he learned about the company as he worked with me to design my special memorial.
I think many people hesitate over the cost to do something like this. I believe that I would have spent as much money planning a funeral and putting my money into the ground or an urn. Every penny I spent comes back to me every time I look at this ring and remember all the love, joy and special moments we shared.
Thank you Adelle and Garrett for the support throughout this journey and the drive to create this company to memorialize those who forever hold our hearts.”
“The diamonds made from her ashes are now going to become family heirlooms, passed to a niece or nephew and then onto future generations.”
“Adelle and her team at Eterneva are unmatched in client service. Everything they do speaks to how much they care about what they do. Adelle is very available; she invariably replies to emails within 48 hours (usually far less) and she makes it so easy to create this memento mori for your lost loved one.
When my daughter died in 2012, life as my wife and I knew it, ended. We now live a different, lesser life. It was even sadder to realize that, when our time came, the last links to my Calista on Earth would be gone and nobody would likely remember her. The diamonds made from her ashes are now going to become family heirlooms, passed to a niece or nephew and then onto future generations. They will never know what they actually wear, but it's enough for us to know. It has to be enough, because that's all we really have.”
“At first I was skeptical, but as we continued to talk, I figured it was one of the best ways to keep my sister close in the family, especially for my mother.”
“I started this process back in October/November of 2017 several months after my sister passed away in a car accident. My sister had mentioned this process to me when we were much younger but I didn’t think anything of it at the time. She passed a couple months before her 24th birthday and I thought the best way to give back to her was by fulfilling her wishers.
Adelle was on my side since day one to ensure this experience was as easy as possible and to let me know my sister’s remains were taken care of until the final step of the process. At first I was skeptical, but as we continued to talk, I figured it was one of the best ways to keep my sister close in the family, especially for my mother. This is a process I will recommend, even though it may seem expensive. The payment plans help make the decisions much easier. Thank you again for allowing me to be part of this journey with my sister even while I was overseas serving our country!”

“Everyone who has seen it has been overjoyed to see this memento of the love of my life”
“My wife of 39 years, Debbie, lost her battle with cancer in January of 2018. After her celebration of life, I was about to leave for Avila Beach to board a chartered boat to spread her ashes. For some reason, I saved a small amount of her ashes before leaving. A short while later there was an article in our local paper profiling Adelle and Eterneva.
Right then I knew why I had retained a few ounces of Deb's ashes! I contacted Eterneva by phone and had the pleasure of dealing directly with Adelle, and we began the eight month journey. She kept me informed of each step in the process with emails, photos, and videos, and just before Christmas I received a beautiful blue diamond in a handmade wooden display case. Everyone who has seen it has been overjoyed to see this memento of the love of my life.”
“She is now this BEAUTIFUL blue diamond that sparkles and shines as bright as she was and I have her with me everyday.”
“I found Adelle and Eterneva were nothing short of Amazing!! My amazingly beautiful daughter passed away shortly after her 20th Birthday I knew I wanted to be able to have her with me always. We definitely aren't the type of people who have a lot of money, but to me she was priceless so we did it. She is now this BEAUTIFUL blue diamond that sparkles and shines as bright as she was and I have her with me everyday. It's beyond comforting if you can do it.”
“In some lights, his diamond is almost white. Some it’s baby blue, others it has almost a violet color. And even the darkest blue I have ever seen. It truly shows Austin’s moods.”
“Today was a very emotional day for me. Some know, some don’t, but I chose to have a diamond made from some of Austin’s ashes. A diamond is made is carbon and that is what we are made of...
It’s been a very long process (approximately 8 months and a few days), but I got to pick Him up today.
You can get a diamond grown in several colors (green, pink, yellow, clear and black.) But I chose blue to match Austin’s eyes.
In some lights, his diamond is almost white. Some it’s baby blue, others it has almost a violet color. And even the darkest blue I have ever seen. It truly shows Austin’s moods 😊. I have taken the diamond to Tommy Moore to be placed in a ring for me. Anyone that knew Austin knows how much he loved his jewelry. He is, and always has been, the most amazing diamond ever.”
“You guys exemplify customer service. Adelle – you are now a part of my family. We love you!”
“After 9 months my dream of having my Dad physically with me all the time has come true. I can’t even begin to express how grateful I am to Adelle and her staff @eterneva for all of the support and love throughout this process! You guys exemplify customer service. Adelle – you are now a part of my family. We love you!”
And Pets, Too!
Up to now, all of these reviews have been about people, but pets can also be as important to our lives. Pets ashes also have carbon (and their hair!), and plenty of folks have turned them into diamonds, as well.
Below are a few reviews from those people, from Google and YouTube Eterneva reviews.

How Cecelia Eternalized Her Kitty Cali
Google Reviews.
“In December of 2017, I had to say goodbye to my beloved Cali. A tortoise shell kitty. We were together for 11 years and very connected. Things were pretty much a blur for me at that time, but I remembered a friend telling me that you can get a diamond made from the ashes of your pet. So, I just googled that and up came Eterneva as the first option of several links to click on. I clicked on it and through the tears ended up navigating an amazing site. Then to my delight, I ended up speaking with an even more amazing contact at the company, co-founder Garrett Ozar. He literally talked me through the whole process and it made things very easy for me during this very difficult time when I had too much on my plate to deal with - it was a God send. I also heard from Adelle Archer the other co-founder on a few occasions, with updates on "Cali's" progress as they formed her ashes into diamonds. It was a very personal thing. Most of all, it helped to have somebody to talk to regarding my grief from the loss of Cali. They both sat on the phone listening to me as I cried and told them our story. I am really glad I chose Eterneva. This whole process was just as special to me as Cali. She is now a gorgeous .5 carat midnight-blue diamond.”
“Our journey with Eterneva began when I was looking into options to memorialize our beautiful Havanese, Allie, who we lost after a brave fight with hemangiosarcoma. I was devastated to think that all her energy, light and beauty would be represented by the palm-sized teak box that held her remains. It simply wasn’t enough to honor the amazing creature she was and how deeply she touched our lives.
From our first interaction with Adelle, I knew that we had made the right choice in Eterneva. She explained the entire process to us, answered all our questions and really put our mind at ease.
Since we still had a living dog at home, Nattie, we were relieved to find out that we could combine Allie’s ashes with hair clippings from Nattie to create our diamonds. We decided on yellow… for our two little sunshines!
I’ll admit it took us a month after our kit arrived to even fill the container with Allie’s remains. My best friend was the brave one because I just couldn’t bring myself to let a part of her go.
Adelle sent us updates and pictures throughout the entire process. We watched as our little girls were transformed from ashes and hair, to carbon, to raw diamonds, to cut diamonds that were finally placed in custom designed pendants. I cried on delivery day and was so humbled to have this remarkable piece of my babies to hold on to forever.
Losing someone you love is always the hardest part of life’s journey, but Eterneva gives you an opportunity to take that loss and turn it in to something beautiful. Words will never be able to express how grateful I am to both Adelle and Eterneva for being a part of our family’s journey.”
“In July 2017, I suddenly and unexpectedly lost my siamese cat Chai. I wanted something more useful and beautiful to remember her by than just an urn sitting on a shelf. I found Eterneva online and I am very glad I did. Adelle called me to discuss the process of making a memorial diamond from her ashes and assured me that they handle the ashes with the utmost care. I decided that I would make her into a blue diamond to represent her beautiful blue eyes. After placing a deposit which went towards the final cost of my diamond, Eterneva shipped me a kit which I used to order the shape and size of the diamond I wanted and to return the ashes.
Eterneva and Adelle were a pleasure to work with. hey kept me updated on how the diamond-making process was coming along and helped me design a custom necklace setting for Chai's diamond. Eterneva really made me feel like a valued customer and in July 2018 a courier hand delivered Chai's diamond in the necklace to me. The whole process was an amazing experience and really helped me deal with the loss of a beloved pet and family member.”
Our Mission
Our mission from day 1 was to provide a better service to those going through loss and looking for ways to memorialize their loved ones. Our co-founder was our first customer, and since then, we’ve been working hand-in-hand with each person to build a better and better process.
This is just the beginning. Ashes to diamonds have been mentioned by 2Chainz and Kris Jenner, and are gaining popularity around the world. The journey to creating that diamond, we believe, should be open, honest, transparent, and as family-like as possible.
